Isabelle Clara Luck, age 94, of Charlottesville, Virginia, was called home on Friday, October 3, 2008, to join her beloved husband, John F. Luck; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilmore; brothers, Roscoe and Reeves Gilmore; sisters, Gertrude Gilmore and Louise Terrell; son, Reeves Terrell and daughter, Gloria Ann Smith. She was born on October 27, 1913 in Albemarle County.

Grandma Isabelle, as she is affectionately known, loved to cook; She was known to make a meal in 30 minutes, and was our own Rachel Ray! She came to know Christ at an early age, and was a faithful and longtime member of Zion Union Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Board.

In addition to her church activities, Grandma Isabelle was a proud member of the Blue Ridge Temple Number 67, Council Kelley Schley, and was affiliated with various departments in the order IBPOE of W.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, John Henry Jr. and Robert Lee Terrell; daughters-in-law, Mariann and Viola; beloved cousin, Janet Wicks; Twenty-three grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Noon on Thursday, October 9, 2008, at Zion Union Baptist Church with Rev. Lloyd A. Cosby, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
