Jean Frances Green, 75 years old of Charlottesville, VA departed this life on Friday, July 18, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Charlottesville on May 16, 1939 the daughter of the late Carolyn Taylor. She was the wife of Lynwood Green. Her brother James “Jimmy” Taylor also preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of Burley High School and employed in the Dietary Department at Trinity Nursing Home for many years until her retirement. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. Her devotion to her husband, son, and grandchildren was commendable and her absence will leave a void and she will be greatly missed. She knew how to be heard; and would always speak her mind, and meant what she said. One of her favorite pastimes was riding on the back of her husband’s bike until her illness would no longer allow her to. Spending time with her grandchildren was also a joy for her and she was very proud of them.
She leaves behind to cherish memories in their hearts her husband of 25 years, Lynwood Green; 3 sons, Zachery “Zack” Javon of Charlottesville, Willie Jaudon and Cordelia of Fluvanna, and Leon Green of Richmond, VA; 4 grandchildren, Sharlay Jaudon of Petersburg, VA, Tisha Jaudon, Jermaine Jaudon of Fluvanna, VA, Darlyn Crawley of Lynchburg, VA; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Taylor; a niece, Angela Washington; 2 nephews, William Alexander and Charles Alexander of Charlottesville; 1 aunt, Helena Jones of Charlottesville; a special daughter, Clara Crawley who she loved and adored; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, July 25, 2014 at Oakwood Cemetery with the Reverend Alexander Williams officiating.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the Hospice of the Piedmont and all the Health Care workers that took their time to care for her.
