Travis Marricus Scott, 23, of Charlottesville, Virginia departed from this life on September 17, 2008. He was born in Charlottesville on August 16, 1985 the son of Mark and Mary Scott Turner. He was the husband of Tomeka Scott.

His paternal grandmother, Viola Scott; a maternal grandmother, Irene Turner; a paternal grandfather, James Banks; a maternal grandfather, Elsie Chambers Scott; and one uncle, Bradley Scott proceeded him in death.

He was a graduate of Charlottesville High School, the class of 2003. He was a sportsman who loved to fish and hunt; who possessed a good sense of humor; leadership abilities, and a kindhearted spirit. His outgoing and friendly personality was best displayed with his family and friends whom he loved to be around. In his early years New Hope Baptist Church became his church home.

In addition to his mother, father and wife he leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Saveon Scott and Tzion Scott of Charlottesville; a step-daughter, Jakia Maupin; one devoted friend, Courtney Maupin mother of his child, whose birth has been anticipated; two brothers, Anthony Scott and Joshua Scott of Charlottesville; two devoted cousins, Stephanie Canter and Darrence Scott; four special friends, Anthony Eubanks, Clay, Derrick and Laman Burrus; nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at New Hope Baptist Church, Esmont, with the Reverend Dr. Long, Officiant and Reverend Cathy Ames, Eulogist. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

His remains will lie in repose at the church two hours prior to the services; this will be the only viewing.
