Isiah J. Walker “Flat Top” was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on April 13, 2015, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born in Charlottesville, VA on August 18, 1954, to the late Louise Collins Walker and John Haliburton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Vernon Haliburton; and one granddaughter, Quarmetriee Robinson.
He loved his family dearly. He was a graduate of Lane High School and he served in the U.S. Army. He was a hard working, dependable, and reliable Certified Nursing Assistant who was employed by Charlottesville Health and Rehabilitation Center for many years. Besides him spending time with family and friends; he was still always fun to be around by acquaintances and anyone else he knew.

Isiah will forever be remembered for his bright smile and his willingness to always help others.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Doris Bowles Walker; two brothers, Roy and J.T. Haliburton; one sister-in-law, Curley Haliburton; two daughters, Michelle R. Collins and husband, Shawn of Louisa, VA and Shamera L. Banks of Charlottesville, VA; one son, Darnell L. Banks; eight grandchildren, Heavyn, Amari, Zamear, Tyrus, Derek, JeNeal, and Dymonicke; one niece, ReRe; three nephews; devoted family members, Thenora Smith Carter and husband, John of Waynesboro, VA; Connie Smith Dorsey and husband Tommy of Longview, Texas and Stanley Smith of Tyler Texas; devoted lifetime friend, Charlene Banks-Underwood of Charlottesville, VA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Covenant Church, 1025 Rio Road E. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the services.
